Third Annual Outing Of New Jersey Pharmacy Grads
Thirty graduates from the New Jersey College of Pharmacy enjoyed a Long Branch outing. The day featured an ocean bath, a snake dance on the beach, an elaborate banquet at Greene's Hotel, a sail on the Albatross to the Highlands, and a return to Basil Bruno's home for more festivities. Speakers included Prof. Adolf Marquier and Dr. Louis Schneider. The group wore college color souvenirs and plans a Coney Island trip on August 19. Auto in head on collision with train at Sea Girt
George Poland and his nephew Maxon Garhart were in a car that crashed head on into a moving train at Sea Girt. The car was pushed about ten feet. Garhart escaped, Poland remained at the wheel as the train passed. Poland suffered only minor injuries. he is out of the city today. Robert Anderson, veteran conductor on the N J Southern Division, was ill and left a train at Matawan to recover at home. Sidney B. Mrs Durkin Injured After Fall Down Stairs
Mrs Michael Durkin of Warburton Place was seriously injured in a night time fall on stairs. She woke during the night and, in darkness, misstepped breaking ribs and injuring her hip. She was carried to Dr H E Shaw and later to Monmouth Memorial Hospital where doctors found a fractured hip.

Highlands Borough Orders Shooting of Unmuzzled Dogs
At a Highlands Borough Council meeting last evening a plan to curb dogs running at large was approved. Any dog found off leash after August 13 would be shot, with marshalls performing the dispatch instead of a dog catcher. Reports from the collector, borough recorder, and street committee were filed.
