Ex-Goungilman Warwick Dies In Sixty Third Year
Former councilman William R. Warwick Jr. died at 12 45 pm after a long illness. Born in Ely England May 22 1850 he came to the United States at nine years old traveling alone to Somerville to live with an uncle. He spent four years here before returning to England then came back to America later continuing his active public life. He had recently suffered several illnesses and ailments and died after a period of critical condition. He was 63 years old.

Fire damages barn near Red Bank in Middletown Township
A small blaze at Emma VonKattengill’s property near Red Bank destroyed rustic work fixtures and tools stored in a loft, caused by sparks from a bonfire. Five borough fire companies plus West Branch Hose Co. fought the flames. barn damage was minor, trees and meadow grass burned, a leather coat was found at City Hall. Reverend Dr. Stephenson will preach Sunday morning and address North Long Branch and Long Branch groups in the evening.
