Burglar Foiled After Early Morning Break-In

Mrs. Joseph Wolf of North Fifth avenue awoke to a burglar ransacking her bedroom as he entered through an unfastened window. He fled through the yard after a chase across lots and down Lippincott avenue, grabbing coins from Wolf and Nathanson pockets before escaping unseen. Police offered no description.

Red Bank Doctors Accused Over Birth and Disease Reporting

Two Red Bank physicians are claimed liable to Fair Haven Borough for failing to report births and contagious diseases to the Board of Health. The issue has been referred to the State Board for action.

Moose Lodge to Meet at Red Men's Hall This City

Delegates from twenty four parishes fill the Lyceum to organize a Monmouth county branch of the Federation of Catholic Societies. Children's agent for Go Society named in Monmouth report

The Monmouth County Branch of the State Charities Aid Association appoints Miss Maude Moore as children's agent. Academic Reunion Plans At Hauile High

The Academic Literary Society at Hauile High will hold two spring attractions this year the annual reunion and dance and a literary program. Governor calls extra session for May to tackle reform

Acting Governor Fielder issued a proclamation calling the New Jersey Legislature to convene in a special session on May 6 at noon. He cites public necessity for jury reform a constitutional conversion and a fix for the small board of freeholders muddle. He notes other measures may be introduced if lawmakers choose.

A train incident left Otis Harlan and his wife as passengers after a horse caused disruption as the motor man was signalled to stop. The actor was reported holding a horse’s head during the event.

Otis Harlan and wife narrowly escaped injury after their depot wagon crashed into rails elevated in a muddy trench near Avery place and Second avenue during a heavy rain. A trolley struck the wreck, destroying the wagon and gear. the horse was unharmed. Mayor Van Note Stricken With Indigestion in West Long Branch

Mayor J. D. Van Note of West Long Branch has been critically ill at his Cedar Avenue home after an attack of acute indigestion last Wednesday. Noon condition showed little improvement and alarm grows among family and friends. A separate listing notes a two-night performance by the Swies Bell Rue in various costumes at Simpson M. Gbureh on April 14 as a benefit for the Ladies' Aid Society.
