Chucko the Clown Lands Two Year TV Contract
Chucko the Clown, real name Charles Runyon of Senusac Avenue, wins a two day contract to star five days a week on KARG Channel 7 starting October 3, following a party-business start that entertained over 50,000 Long Beach-area children at 2,000 parties. The Runyon family built a portable merry-go-round and created The Merry-Go-Bile Caterers before Chucko became the main act. The ABC recommendation led to the TV role, with a plan to develop a full show and continue trains of party entertainers to carry on the tradition.
