General Roberts disputes UN view on Korea warning
Brig. Gen. W L Roberts denies being told of large North Korean troop concentrations as of May 12. He says daily intel from a Korean officer would have revealed troop moves, and he would not have acted differently even if such alerts existed. The UN commission cited North Korean strength and infil tra tion plans as factors in the impending invasion. The commission's panel includes India, Australia, China, El Salvador, France, the Philippines and Turkey.
