Engstrand Author Dies in Los Angeles Lake
Stuart Engstrand author of The Sling and the Arrow walled into MacArthur Park lake and drowned. Police identified the body after his wife reported he had been missing since 10 am. Engstrand, 31, lived in Beverly Hills and was despondent before the incident. Two boathouse workers pulled him from the water at 12:30 pm and emergency crews failed to revive him.
