Year Round Fishing Boats Reach Catalina and Offshore Banks
Photos from two trips aboard the Islander and the Estrella show anglers at sea aboard the 65-foot Islander and the rebuilt Estrella. Deckhands battle chumming tasks while crews haul barracuda, albacore, and white sea bass as the boats cruise off Catalina and to an offshore spot. Donnell Culpepper, Press-Telegram news editor, captured the scenes for “Fishin' Around.”
