Joint Meeting Planned to Cut Airport Noise
ITV manager cites day and night noise from training planes and outlines a proposed joint meeting of Air Reserve officers, independent operators, and CAA officials to shift Air Reserve training from the north to the south runway. The Airport Commission backs the meeting but will not participate, citing a policy to end military operations at the airport. Removal to the south runway would not solve noise or crash risks and would leave independent operators without a base.
