In Tallahassee Florida Dr Harold J Humm director of marine biology at Florida State argues the sea could surpass land as a food source. He notes oceans cover 70 percent of earth and marine biologists estimate sea productive capacity may be about twice that of land per square.
New crop for the season arrives later than usual with top quality red striped Jonathans in supply. Recipes promote daily apples in school lunches and as a dessert with cheese. A spicy red apple compote with bananas and vanilla is offered for four servings.
