Union Press Still Free Says Ball Comments on Taft-Hartley Act
Washington Oct 9 Sen Ball Republican Minnesota said there will be no attempt to infringe on union newspapers under the Taft Hartley Act as watchdog committees stay neutral in labor management disputes. He noted unions fund some papers and the issue hinges on union treasury support rather than subscriptions. The act is working with no major defects to date and courts may clarify the funding question.
