Army Unveils Redstone Missile and New 175mm Gun
Elton U Fay at Aberdeen Proving Ground reports the Redstone ballistic missile capable of 200 mile flights, high accuracy, with initial guidance, immune to countermeasures, and potential atomic warhead. A new 175 millimeter gun replaces the heavy 280 millimeter cannon, lighter, mobile, and self propelled, fitting a nuclear shell once used by the 8-inch gun.
