Two named for Walker's buddies in death of GI
A Los Angeles area man Robert L Clark was found dead in Bell Gardens and two friends Jesse Fonseca and Roy Lamb were arrested on suspicion of murder. Clark reportedly overdosed on heroin after being given a cap by Fonseca. The investigation found the men moved Clark’s body to Bell Gardens and attempted to revive him, later discarding the hypodermic kit. Clark, a welder and Army veteran, left a grieving mother, Flora Belle George, who spoke of her son's life and the shocking circumstances. Two Long Beach high school girls received $50 scholarships from Walker's Department Store, Joanne Ordway and Mary Jo Morgan.
