Underground Explosion Tests Planned for June
Underground tests begin in early June at Dugway Utah Grand Jimmelion Colorado and Buckhorn Wash Castle Dale Utah sites. Five 120000 lb charges planned plus three 320000 lb full scale explosions in fall. Lt Gen Wheeler says scale measures will estimate atomic bomb effects though no atomic devices will be used.
