Nationalist Fighter Downs Red Jet Near Formosa Coast
Nationalist air force says four aircraft clashed off the China coast near Yuhu an Island, 225 miles north northwest of here. Capt King Hua credited with hitting a MIG in a 20 second fight as the Red plane vanished westward over Chekiang Province. This marks the first clash with Communist jets since 1950 when Nationalists raided Shanghai.
