Driverless Truck Crashes House in 400 Foot Slide
A driverless Sprinkling truck slid down a hillside in Baldwin Hills California, tearing the roof of Dr. Carl A. Bachhuber’s new home and ending in a patio. The driver cited brake failure as the vehicle plowed 400 feet from its precipice. There were no injuries. The incident caused a temporary halt to nearby television transmitter work at Mt. Mansfield. The truck reportedly became wedged after smashing through a deck railing, blocking access and knocking debris into nearby yards. The event drew local officials who investigated the brake system and municipal response teams.
