Lakewood Spring intersection death trap claims seventh victim

The Lakewood Boulevard and Spring Street intersection, dubbed a death trap, claimed its seventh victim in four years. Eugene Elmer-Jacobsen, 29, of Whittier, was the latest fatality when his sedan was broadside by an auto, later dying at Community Hospital from a basal skull fracture.
