New One Two Punch Drug Study Promises TB Cure

Army researchers report a new treatment for pulmonary tuberculosis combining tuberculin with streptomycin. Ten cases treated show eight with symptom clearance in two months and no relapses in nearly a year. The method aims to open diseased tissue so streptomycin can reach hidden germs.

Motorist Identified After Suicide in Cambridge

Cambridge March 31 A well dressed motorist killed himself by taking poison after a State Highway Patrol stop. He was identified as Merrick L. Hipson 57 formerly of Tucson Arizona. Identification came via fingerprints sent to the FBI which noted Hipson was wanted on a larceny charge.
