Two five year old siblings Cathy and Mary Ann Church and their cousin Steven Kennedy died after getting lost in a winter storm in Nicolet National Forest. A third child Mary Ann Church was found alive at a forest outhouse and rushed to hospital where her condition was listed as fair. The search spanned miles of snow and involved hundreds of snowshoeing volunteers as the region received nearly 12 inches of new snow.
