Disappearance of Columbia Professor De Galindez Aboard
Anti Franco activist and Columbia International Law professor Jesus de Galindez, 42, a Spanish exile and columnist for El Diario de Nueva York, vanished from his Fifth Avenue apartment last Saturday. Police found personal items in place, no luggage, and an empty table with a lone portfolio. Officials say he linked to Basque exile groups and state cryptic agents, raising fears of a covert kidnapping or murder. Lydia Miranda and Stanley Ross also figure in the case, with FBI awareness noted.
