A 22-year-old unemployed bartender fled along Ocean Blvd and American Ave and fought a running gun battle with police. Twelve shots were fired with no injuries. John Jay Pollart, from Colorado Springs, surrendered in a basement storage room. He faces assault to commit murder charges and later burglary and robbery investigations after jewelry was found.
