New Slant on Traffic By Visitors In Long Beach
The Police Traffic Bureau proposes a new view of summer traffic. Sgt. Orville James notes Long Beach has more out of town drivers than any other city, with 44 percent of last year’s accidents involving nonresidents. He cites Douglas plant and shipyard worker patterns and a typical summer Sunday draw of 180000 out of town beach visitors.
