12 cent Slash in County Tax Rate Possible
Long Beach taxpayers may see a nearly 12 cent cut in the 1949 50 Los Angeles County tax rate if the Board of Supervisors adopts a new budget figure of 130 562 622. The supervisors finished budget talks but left out 50 000 requested by Long Beach for lifeguard subsidies marking the first such omission in over a decade.
