Fish-planting by plane succeeds in test run
A four day aerial stocking operation by the California Bureau of Fish and Game completed its first large scale release. About 15 000 rainbow and eastern brook trout averaging two inches were dropped at elevations of 400 to 600 feet in Siskiyou County lakes. District Biologist J H Wales supervised the test and pilot Al Reese flew the twin motor Beechcraft, with more plantings planned for early August in Inya and Monocoun lakes.
