Pay raises for Roll Quinn and Biscailuz ruled illegal
Los Angeles officials including District Attorney S Ernest Roll County Assessor John R Quinn and Sheriff Eugene W Biscailuz are denied the pay boosts voted last May by county supervisors The ruling by County Counsel Harold W Kennedy finds the increases would violate the California Constitution and the county charter prohibiting raises during a term or within 90 days before election Also affected are three Catalina Soledad and Malibu justice court judges who were to receive monthly increases from existing scales
