X Rays Find No Fracture In Girl Trapped 9 Days
A 15 year old Californian girl, Merete Margetts, was rescued after nine days pinned at the bottom of a 300 foot embankment in Pau Joys Canyon east of Salt Lake City. X rays then showed no skull fracture, though medical notes warned of earlier suspected injuries. Her fiancé, James B. Hixon Jr., 22, of Salt Lake City, lay dead at the scene.
