Wandering Persian Cat Olaf Returned After Nationwide Search
Des Moines resident L M Peet spent about 32000 seeking Olaf, sending 58000 cards to 23 northern Missouri counties and five southern Iowa counties, radio and newspaper ads, and traveling 3500 miles. A June 28 tip led Peet to recover the long haired cat, found tired but intact at the Poet home.
