Patience for slow pupils urged in music teaching

Dr. Russell N. Squire of Pepperdine College urged teachers to gauge each child’s learning pace and avoid impatience with retarded or slow learners. He noted talent can emerge in such students and cited factors like eye trouble malnutrition and emotional issues as possible causes of apparent retardation. He said musical training can enrich a child’s life even if mentally retarded.

Ebell Juniors Honor Party At Luncheon

Ebell Officers will fete juniors at a Friday luncheon to mark the annual party. Mrs. R. L. Buffum heads the officers and chairmen, with Mrs. Homer Redford as party chair.
