Memories of Long Beach Sixth and Locust School Site
An old sidewalk mark reads Primary School March 15 1902 at Sixth and Locust, where a former two room school stood. A Mason jar with a New Testament and student names was sealed in the cement, a teacher Miss Duncan noted, and lore recalls Pine Ave School nearby with Halloween mischief and local alumni seeking reunions.
