Police Arrest Husband on Suspicion of Murder
Twenty nine year old Juanita Steinfeldt, a Long Beach mother of two, shot and killed herself in a game of Russian roulette. Police held her husband Richard Steinfeldt, 27, on suspicion of murder after he denied any role in her death and offered to take a lie detector test. The fatal shooting occurred at their Truman Boyd Manor apartment after both played the game at the kitchen table. The sole witness said Juanita pulled the trigger after Richard claimed he had not rigged the gun. Richard Steinfeldt was questioned for hours, re enacted the shooting at the apartment, and was arrested at the hospital where his wife died. The case remains under investigation as detectives pursue the truth behind the tragic events.

Sharp-shooting farmer killed after shooting wife and trooper
Texarkana report details the attack by Jack Strachan 55 of Bassett Texas who shot his estranged wife Josephine and killed Highway Patrolman W C Hanna. Strachan, a famed rifle shot, was cornered in a fence row and died after a fierce exchange leaving Hanna and several officers wounded. The manfront drew over 100 peace officers to a five square mile search area.

Jelke Kin Missing in Plane Over Sea
Pine-appearing report says Jelke Kin, a member of the oleo family, is missing after a routine training flight in an Air National Guard fighter over the Gulf of Mexico area.
