Fire Chief Sandeman Named Southern Division VP in Arcadia
Fire Chief Frank S. Sandeman of Long Beach was elected first vice president of the southern division of the California Fire Chiefs Association at a weekend Arcadia meeting. He previously served as second vice president. The gathering, the first since the statewide body unified, also named Arcadia’s Chief James Nellis president of the Southern Division, with chiefs from Santa Barbara to San Diego in attendance. The group plans three to four meetings yearly, aiming to schedule near central locations such as Signal Hill to minimize chief absences. The statewide association intends to align meetings with the League of California Cities annual sessions.
