Assembly to Send Inquiry on Long Beach Tide Bill to Brown
The California Assembly committee said it will follow the Senate and have the attorney general handle any probe into possible illegal lobbying connected with Long Beach tide and oil legislation. The Allen bill would have diverted petroleum revenues from Long Beach to the state, and the matter already went to the attorney general for action. The Assembly plans to request a copy of the AG report but will likely defer any action to Brown.
