Induction Rule Aids College Enrollment At Local Schools
A new rating allowing students called for induction into the armed forces to finish the school year and then choose a service branch is expected to reduce enrollment drop at Long Beach City College next semester. Emil E. Cubick, placement coordinator, says the rule will keep many in school though some decline is anticipated. At Long Beach State College, enrollment impact is expected to be less immediate, with a few students withdrawing this semester due to the international situation, but overall numbers steady as GI bill enrollees arrive before July expiration.
