A 21 year old Long Beach couple’s daughter, Mrs Lou Ellen Jones, was found dead at their Panama City Florida home. S/Sgt Joe Jones 22 returned home to discover their 3 year old son Curtis Raymond crying over his mother. Police say she was raped and stabbed with death by strangulation. Neighbors saw a car at 930 am and a man leave at high speed. Investigators search for the murder weapon and electric cord used on the victim. The Jones family identified her as the daughter of E D Pittman.

Mrs. Harry E. Weaver, wife of noted Texas architect and scientist, died after a nitroglycerin bomb exploded near their car in downtown San Angelo. A second bomb was found in a car belonging to Mrs. Weaver, with a third possible booby trap. investigators listed no motive yet.
