Trend of Security Prices for Past Week Analyzed
The market shows a down 25 point drop over three sessions then a 15 point rally over about three days. Analysts expect support to allow a resume of advances, noting that a panic similar to January 5-6 is unlikely soon and that near-term averages should hold until a possible February irregular rise. If new highs occur on low volume, a critical selling point may be reached, given the short interest ratio. Historically, yearly lows in bull markets arise in the March to June period, with this year likely following that pattern and not dipping below the pre-election high-low area 366-350 D-J.
