U S and India Expand Steel Trade and Aid Pact
New Delhi and Washington extend their technical cooperation marking four years of malaria and rail supply aid. The United States agreed to import 100000 tons of steel and 6000 tons of DDT while continuing malaria control funding totaling over 250 million dollars. India has contributed about 400 million dollars toward joint projects benefiting more than 100 million people.

LAS VEGAS Nev The Atomic Energy Commission reports no community exposure to fallout radiation from the Nevada test series. Jon B Sanders AEC branch manager notes a 3.9 roentgens offsite safety level in Elgin and 6.93 roentgens on a badge 15 miles south of Alamo during the three month series. About 3 percent of badges showed no exposure.
