NORWALK deputies probe five school burglaries in 24 hours. They trapped two Bell Gardens men, Harvey Luper and John Womack, inside Grayland Ave Elementary School with a broken safe, recovered $339.15 and jewelry, and seized tools, a toy revolver, and a first aid kit. A separate break at D W Johnson Elementary yielded a $200 safe and $20 cash, with other Downey offices looted.
