Meat Rationing Legislation to Reach Congress Soon
Senator Flanders said he will introduce a bill shortly after Congress reconvenes to set up meat rationing machinery if a serious shortage develops. The plan would authorize the Agriculture Department to proceed with rationing and allow Congress to enact the program at any time.
