Senate Move Aims at Senate investigations rules changes

The Senate Republican Policy Committee ordered a study of rules governing investigations and testimony rights after an Army abuse charge raised questions about witness treatment. United States invites 14 allies to Geneva Korean peace talks

The United States invites fourteen wartime allies to a Geneva peace conference on April 26 with Russia and Commu nist China and North Korea. Invitations were issued after the Berlin Big Four foreign ministers meeting. Nations invited include South Korea Australia Belgium Canada Colombia Ethiopia Greece Luxembourg The Netherlands New Zealand the Philippines Thailand Turkey and South Africa. Russia and the United States Britain and France will have co sponsorship. Russia will invite Red China and North Korea. The talks cover the Korean political conference under the armistice terms signed last July.

Dock Group Attacks ILWU Ahead of Stop Work Meeting

Similar actions are planned coastwise. only ships with perishables, mail, and military cargoes may load before 6 p.m.

Missing Crippled Boy Found on Creek Bank

An 8-year-old crippled boy, partly deaf and unable to speak, was found near a creek bank after a 10 hour search by about 400 volunteers and a National Guard unit from Okemah. Larry Walker was located by his father Parr Walker and two volunteers 2.44 miles from where he disappeared while his father picked pecans. He was in good condition and taken home. Bloodhounds aided the search but scenting was hindered by crowds.
