Truman Signs Bill to Grow GI Bill Veteran Benefits

Monthly subsistence rises from 65 to 75 for dependentsless veterans, 90 to 105 for one dependent, and 120 for two or more dependents. New schedules take effect April 1 with an estimated annual government cost of 217 million dollars. The measure passed the Senate last summer and the House on Febuary 3.
