Traffic engineers have postponed for a month a feasibility report on financing the proposed toll road from Oklahoma City to link with the Wichita turnpike. Wilbur Smith of New Haven said a lower traffic count caused the delay and a review is needed to compare with the earlier, more favorable count.
In Los Angeles a coroner’s jury ruled the Santa Fe wreck accidental and found no criminal liability. Frank B. Parrish, a 30 year old engineer, testified that he blacked out before the crash tied to a history of pulmonary tuberculosis and a duodenal ulcer. The Santa Fe spokesman said the company does not hire those with serious illnesses and that such workers receive hospital care and reexamination before returning to service.
