The State Public Utilities Commission authorized a fare hike for Long Beach Motor Bus Co. raising basic cash fare from 11 to 13 cents with two tokens at 25 cents. Two zone fares rise from 16 to 18 cents and three zone fares move to 23 cents or 1 token and 10 cents. New fare gates will become effective. Feo 22.

Long Beach Woman Fined for Hiding Rabies Dog
Mrs Barethy Jones of 2213 Euclid Ave was fined 50 dollars and placed on one year summary probation after pleading guilty to two misdemeanor counts for withholding information about a dog suspected of rabies that bit a 4 year old boy. The dog, identified by the victim as a mixed cocker Scotty, was impounded for Pasteur treatments. The incident occurred near the boy’s home at 2256 Euclid Ave on January 17.

INO MULTIPLE BIRTHS FORT KENT Maine a Canadian farmer's wife has given birth to her 25th child and she wants more. An eight pound daughter was born to Mr and Mrs Heliodore Cyr of Ledges New Brunswick at Peoples Benevolent Hospital. Seventeen of the Cyr children still live at home and the oldest is 24. The new baby evened the score at boys and nine girls. The family lives in an 11 room, 400 acre farm three miles from the village center and raises most of its own food as well as sheep for wool.
