He will speak on Putting Christ in Christmas at 10 45 a.m. and a 7 p.m. service follows. Youth group meets at 8 p.m.

A Salvation Army Songster Brigade presents the cantata Why Mighty Nights on Sunday at 7 30 p m at Salvation Army Headquarters 229 Locust Ave Mex Doris Freeman is soloist with Gwen Shin Marjorie Deeth and Sylvia Johns in the trio The Long Lister Brigade led by Mrs Major Howard Sloan includes three cadets from the San Francisco training college for officers during the Sunday service at 11 am
The combined choirs of First Presbyterian Westminster directed by Oriol Beburmeyer perform the Christmas Cantata The Song of the Angels during morning worship. Pastor Kenneth R. Boyd preaches What are You Looking For at 11 am.

The Cathedral Choir of the Church will give a Christmas Eve performance of Carols at Midnight at 11 pm at First Presbyterian Church. Long Beach State College students and staff will form the accompanying orchestra for this first Long Beach run of the work.
A candle light Christmas Day service will be held at First Church of Mt Oliver Lutheran at 5818 Bowlair Ave. The Sunday school aims for 500 attendees at 9 30 am with children lighting a candle and singing Silent Night. The morning worship theme is Light from the Sters to aid Hungarian refugees.
The Lynwood Lutherans present The Bethlehem Story each year by St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Lynwood. The Christmas pageant runs December 25 to 28 at 7:45 and 8:30 p.m. on the church grounds at Bullis Ra and Fernwood Ave. Cast exceeds 100. last year drew over 5,000. Sixth annual production, script by Rev. Samuel Hansen, pastor Allen Hansom’s father. No admission charge. public invited.
