Aristocratis carried armored tanks and ammonium sulfate
The Greek owned Honduran flag freighter Aristocratis, once thought to carry coal, was found to hold 75 two tone Army tanks and 177 000 bags of ammonium sulfate destined for Formosa. After grounding off Santa Rosa Island, the ship was brought to port for survey and dry docking, with tanks being unloaded and kept under preservation ashore. Authorities say the tanks were exported from the Atlantic coast and are duly licensed. The captain reported slow speed in thick weather and a current pushed him off course.
