Ruth Era Night Ball Not Favored By Babe Ruth
The Bambino said he would not play night ball even if today’s games were allowed. He notes it pays but would skip night baseball. He doubts Johnny Mize can reach Ruth’s 60 home runs in a season and jokes that Mize is a cousin of his wife. Ruth also recalls 1917 season openings and lists stars from that day.
