Lakewood United Lutheran to Dedicate New Education Unit
The Lakewood United Lutheran Church in Wardlow Road 56335 completes a threefold program begun nearly three years ago. The 1952 need to relieve overcrowding led to building a nursery and first grade unit and reducing church indebtedness to about $15,000. The church also supported a gift to the Lutheran Seminary in Berkeley. The dedication service at 3:30 p.m. will mark completion, with about 160 nursery and first grade pupils plus neighborhood children benefiting. The congregation now weighs the next step for space and growth.
