Red-Hideout Case Enters Final Stage
Final arguments were set today in the trial of four people charged with harboring a high ranking Communist fugitive in a High Sierra cabin. Patricia Blau, 43, of San Jose, was acquitted by Federal Judge Louis E. Goodman for insufficient evidence. The four defendants faced acquittal refusals and were arrested with Robert Thompson, who jumped bail after a conspiracy conviction with ten other top Communists in New York. Thompson is serving a sentence in Atlanta federal prison.
