Corning gas field plans new oil company merger
In Tehama County the formation of Buttes Oil & Gas Co marks a consolidation of Buttes Oilfields and Orinda Petroleum. C G Green of Oakland will sign 15,000 stock certificates as development starts on the South Dome of the Corning field. Pacific Gas & Electric lines seek outlets, while Shell Oil expands wildcatting in Nevada Arizona and Four Corners.
