New Pastor to Be Greeted Sunday at North Long Beach Church
North Long Beach Community Presbyterian Church will welcome Rev. Richard G. Irving as new pastor this Easter. He assumed duties last week after leading Maundy Thursday service and baptisms. Irving, a Texas native educated at Sul Ross and the University of Arizona, comes from Santa Monica First Presbyterian where he was assistant pastor since 1943. His wife, Mrs. Irving, grew up in Minneapolis and is a Macalester College graduate. Their children are Martha Jean, 8, and Richard Lee, 16 months.

The Sanctuary Choir will perform As It Began to Dawn and Mrs Robert Transgaard will sing Grainer s Hosanna in the noon program. An evening of Easter Music features Sanctuary Choir and lyric tenor David J Graham, with choir soloists Mrs Transgaard Mrs Phyllis Dallas Warren Cooper Walter Lesh.

Remodeling to Be Started by Calvary Presbyterian
Calvary Presbyterian announces extensive remodeling and redecorating of the church. Planned work includes reroofing the main building, a modern heating unit, kitchen alterations, and major sanctuary changes. The project moves forward with a rebuilt chancel and relocated organ, lectern, and pulpit, along with completed recent lower floor renovations for kindergarten and junior departments.
