A jet of gas likely ignited by accident caused a four story Rossiter Hotel explosion at 1221 W. 7th St Los Angeles injuring 75 percent burned Daniel Coogan a 55 year old cook. Firemen extinguished a kitchen fire sparked on the top floors as a guest aided. The incident prompted awe from a witness who compared it to an atom bomb.
