Annette and Lubin Opera at Local Theatre
The one act comic opera Annette and Lubin staged at the local theatre features Lord of the Manor Mr Fearon and Bailiff 0 MA Wilson. Lubin and Annette, two French cousins, seek a dispensation for marriage while neighbors taunt them. The piece relies on light songs with an overture praised, but most airs fail to impress, and translation by Mr. Didin is critiqued.
